Overview

The Westfield City Council is the legislative branch of government. The Council's primary functions are to pass the city's laws (ordinances) and approve the budgets and spending of money collected by the city.

The Council consists of seven members; two are elected across the city (at large), and five are elected specific to some regions of the city (districts). Council meetings are open to the public and held on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 7 pm at City Hall (130 Penn Street).
