Clerk-Treasurer

Marla Ailor, a 24-year resident of Westfield, is the elected City Clerk-Treasurer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and is a member of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada from which she earned the credential of Certified Public Investment Manager. The duties of Clerk-Treasurer are of both an administrative and financial nature.

She is responsible for the overall collection and disbursement of funds, the administration of the accounting system, the signing of checks, the preparation of periodic reports to the council, and serves as the investment officer for the municipal treasury.

As the Clerk of the City Council and Board of Public Works, the Clerk-Treasurer is also responsible for managing agendas and maintaining records and documents, including the City's ordinances and resolutions. Marla, her husband Kurt, and their son Kohl enjoy spending time with family and friends, church, fishing, and traveling.
