Core Values

At the Westfield Police Department, our Core Values guide every decision we make and every interaction we have with the community we proudly serve. These values reflect our dedication to professional excellence, ethical conduct, and a genuine partnership with the residents, businesses, and visitors of the City of Westfield.

Trust – We must back our intentions with action and do what we say we will do to secure the trust of each other and our community.

Integrity – In order to maintain the public’s trust and support, we must hold ourselves accountable and demand the highest level of ethical and moral standards from all members.

Respect – Interactions with the public and members of the department must be founded on mutual respect. The department will always encourage open communication by treating everyone with dignity and fairness.

Department Structure

The Westfield Police Department is structured to provide efficient and professional services to our community. Assistant Chief Eric Grimes leads the Operations Division, overseeing both the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigations Division to ensure public safety and effective law enforcement responses. Assistant Chief Billy Adams oversees both the Special Services Division and the Support Services Division, focusing on specialized programs and community outreach, training, and operational support that keeps the department running smoothly. Together, our leadership team works to maintain a safe, responsive, and community-focused police department.
