Commercial Permits

Starting a new commercial project, updating an existing space, or constructing a multi-unit development? The following permit types apply to commercial construction and development projects.
Commercial New Construction (C)
 Construction of a new commercial building from the ground up.
Commercial Remodel (CRM)
 Tenant finish or remodel of an existing commercial building.
Commercial Multi-Family in Mixed-Use (CMF)
 Apartments or residential units located within a commercial or mixed-use building.
Commercial Addition (CAD)
 Adding additional square footage attached to an existing commercial structure.
Commercial Accessory (CAC)
 Accessory structures or outbuildings associated with an existing commercial building.

Residential Permits

Building a new home, expanding your residence, or repairing damage? The following permit types apply to residential construction projects.
Residential Single-Family Detached (RSFR)
 Construction of a new single-family home that is not attached to another residential structure.
Townhomes (TWN)
 Construction of residential townhomes or duplex buildings.
Residential Addition (RAD)
 Adding additional square footage under roof to an existing residence.
Residential Accessory (RAC)
 Construction of an accessory structure on a residential lot, such as a detached garage, shed, or similar outbuilding.
Residential Fire Restoration (RFR)
 Repair and restoration of a residential structure following fire damage.

Residential Pool (RP)
 Installation of a swimming pool on a residential property, including in-ground or above-ground pools serving a single-family residence.
Commercial Pool (CP)
 Installation of a swimming pool at a commercial property or multi-family development, such as apartments, hotels, or other public-use facilities.
