Bulk Trash Day

This day provides an opportunity for the citizens of Westfield to dispose of objects and materials not included in the weekly trash/recycling service. Unless noted below, there will be no charge to participate, however please bring your City of Westfield stormwater bill to prove residency.

When and where does Bulk Trash Day happen?

Second Saturday in May & October

8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Westfield City Services (2728 E. 171st Street)

Is there a fee?

Overall, no, but there are slight fees on specific items. View full list of accepted, unaccepted items, and pricing below.


Do you provide the plastic wrap for the mattresses?

No.


Can I bring hazardous material like paint, oil, propane, etc.?

No, but you can dispose of those at the Hamilton County Household Hazardous Waste Center in Noblesville.


If I rent my home and do not have a stormwater bill, do you accept any other form of residency?

Yes. We will also accept a driver's license with a Westfield address.


Can I still bring items if I'm outside of city limits?

Anyone who resides in the City of Westfield or the Westfield Washington Township is eligible to participate in Bulk Trash Day.


What items are accepted?

  • Air conditioner (cost $30 cash each)

  • Bicycles

  • Cardboard/phone books

  • Carpet

  • Tree debris

  • Rock

  • Dirt

  • Brush in bundles (they cannot exceed 4 ft in length)

  • Washers and Dryers

  • Floor covering

  • Furniture

  • Mattresses and Box Springs (cost $5 cash each and MUST already be plastic-wrapped)

  • Grills (no propane tanks)

  • Stoves

  • Large toys

  • Lawnmowers

  • Lawn equipment

  • Appliances containing refrigerant (cost $30 cash each)

  • Freezers (cost $30 cash each)

  • Swing set

  • Water heaters

  • Tires (car tires cost $5 cash each and truck tires are $10 cash each)

  • Computers and Monitors (cost $20 cash each)

  • Televisions (cost $20 cash each)

  • Printers & copy machines

  • Laptops

  • Fax machines

  • Office copiers (cost $30 cash each)

  • Connectors, wiring, cable

  • UPS equipment

  • PDAs

  • Industrial Equipment

  • Consumer electronics, including DVD players, stereos, radios, calculators

  • Speakers

  • Telecommunication equipment

  • Audio video equipment

  • Cell phones

  • VCRs

  • Television production equipment

  • Cables

  • IT equipment including hubs, switches, servers, routers, racks, etc.

  • Medical electronics

  • Satellite TV equipment
