Veterans Day Ceremony returns November 11

Westfield, IN (October 16, 2024) — The City of Westfield will host the second annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 11 at The Bridgewater Club (3535 E. 161st Street). Breakfast will be served starting at 7:45 a.m. followed by the ceremony commencing at 8:30 a.m. This ceremony is free and open to the public.

Join us in "Honoring Service & Sacrifice" and pay tribute to our brave veterans who have selflessly served our nation. It is a day to reflect, remember, and express gratitude for their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to our freedom.

There will be remarks from local veterans including Mayor Scott Willis, keynote speaker Roy Adams, and Westfield Police Chief Shawn Keen, as well as live performances by the Westfield High School Signature Sound choir.

Student winners of the poster and essay contest will present their work during the ceremony and receive a prize. In addition, veterans who attend the ceremony will receive a gift during the program.

The city will also be featuring residents in the Hometown Hero presentation that will be shown during the breakfast. If you are a veteran or know a veteran who would like to be featured on our Hometown Heroes presentation, please email communications@westfield.in.gov with a photo of the veteran, their name and service branch by October 30.

Organizations and resources will be available in the lobby for attendees to visit during the breakfast time and briefly after the ceremony.

For questions, please email communications@westfield.in.gov.
