City, Library, and Township offer new resources for Westfield nonprofits

Westfield, IN (February 5, 2025) — The City of Westfield, Westfield Washington Township, and the Westfield Washington Public Library are excited to announce a new partnership aimed at providing grant research and support services to nonprofit organizations in Westfield. This collaboration will offer local nonprofits complimentary access to Candid, a subscription-based service that helps nonprofit leaders find grants from foundations and public charities.

The Westfield Washington Public Library will serve as a central access point as part of this initiative. Nonprofits will have access to free services, including consultations, project planning assistance, guidance on building capacity and outreach, and Candid, which will enable nonprofits to build prospect lists from their database of nearly 300,000 grant makers and funders.

In addition to these services, nonprofit organizations are encouraged to register for the Township’s upcoming two-part Grant Writing Series, presented in partnership with Purdue Extension, on April 16 and May 14. This series will provide essential training on the grant writing process, offering valuable insights on how to craft compelling proposals and secure funding to support local initiatives. “We are proud to partner with the library and township to offer these valuable resources to our local nonprofits,” said Mayor Scott Willis. “Supporting our nonprofits is a priority for the city, and we believe this partnership will provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.”

Jamie Goetz-Mills, Westfield Washington Township Trustee, echoed these sentiments, adding, “This partnership represents a collaborative effort to help our nonprofits grow, build sustainability, and make an even greater impact on our community. We encourage all local nonprofits to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.”

The Westfield Washington Public Library will host information sessions about the available resources, with staff on hand to assist nonprofits in navigating the services provided. Nonprofit partners are invited to a launch event at the Westfield Washington Public Library (17400 Westfield Blvd) on February 11 at 12 p.m. To register for the event (encouraged but not required), visit https://tinyurl.com/4wymf47y.

The first learning session hosted and sponsored by the Westfield Washington Township will focus on Human Resources Training for nonprofits. Sessions will be held on Tuesday, February 11, and Tuesday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Westfield Washington Township office (17400 Westfield Blvd). The February session will focus on compliance and infrastructure, while the March session will focus on recruiting and employment. Deep End Talent Strategies will be conducting the training for this series.
